It has a population of 180,000 and an area of . Jixi borders Lingan in the east, Ningguo and Jingde in the south, and Taiping to the west. Jixi County is a hilly region with many rivers and bodies of water. Jixi County has jurisdiction over seven towns and ten townships. ==History== Huayang Town, under the administration of Jixi County, was well known during the Han Dynasty (208 BCE–220 CE).
